The Salt River Project (SRP) Board Elections are right around the corner! The election will take place on April 7, 2020. If you are eligible to vote in this election, we strongly encourage you to participate and help ensure a brighter energy future for our community. In this election, individuals will vote for a board of governors and council members. Those elected will have important responsibilities such as initiating policy, power rates, and more. Determining whether you are eligible to vote and ensuring you receive a ballot can be tricky, so keep reading to learn about how to participate in the election. Customers who own land or other eligible property within the SRP area are able to vote in the election. APS customers who live in the SRP district may also vote in the election (even if they do not have SRP power service). See the SRP elections FAQ page for more details about voter eligibility. In total, there are 10 different voting zones in the district borders, and the property you own must be located in these given areas. Click here to see a map outlining each voting area to ensure that you are eligible. In order to vote in the SRP election, you must request a ballot from the SRP website. Click here for information on how to do so. The last day to request a ballot is March 27, 2020. A list of all candidates running in the election will be available here.
